Consomee Start cooking

Terms of use

Effective: 2026-08-20. These terms govern your use of consomee.com.

Operator and contact

Consomee is operated by the independent publisher of Consomee (company registration in progress β€” email hello@consomee.com for the current registered details). Postal address available on request β€” email privacy@consomee.com. General contact: hello@consomee.com.

Permitted use

You may use Consomee for your own personal, non-commercial cooking. You may not scrape, bulk-download or republish the site or its data, use it to train a model, or attempt to interfere with its operation or security. You may of course cook anything you find here, share a link to any page, and print a recipe for your own kitchen.

Intellectual property and licences

The Consomee name, design, code, editorial additions (introductions, notes, FAQs, substitution guidance, structured steps) and derived data are ours. Recipes sourced from third parties remain the property of their sources and are used under the licence each source grants β€” TheMealDB's open database, or CC BY-SA cookbook text, which is credited and linked on the page that uses it. A list of ingredients is not itself protected by copyright; the wording around it is.

Third-party sources and links

Recipes and photography sourced from third parties are provided as those sources published them. We do not control them and cannot guarantee they are accurate, complete or current. Links to other sites are not endorsements.

No medical or dietary advice

Nothing on Consomee is medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Estimated times, difficulty, equipment, substitutions and any nutrition figures are guidance, not professional advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are cooking for someone who is, take advice from a qualified professional.

Allergies and cross-contact

Allergen labels on this site are derived automatically from ingredient lists, as described on our sourcing page. They cannot account for cross-contact during manufacture or in your kitchen, for a manufacturer changing a formulation, or for an ingredient we could not resolve. Never rely on this site alone for an allergy. Read every package, and if a reaction could be serious, seek qualified advice.

Food safety

Food-safety and allergen information is general, not medical advice. Follow current guidance from your local food-safety authority, verify product labels, and seek qualified advice for allergies or health conditions. Cook food to safe internal temperatures, store and reheat leftovers promptly, and use your own judgement β€” you are the one in the kitchen and we are not.

Availability

Consomee is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on recipe data, timings, dietary labels or allergen labels. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded β€” including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction of the operator's principal place of business, published here once company registration completes, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. The effective date above changes when we do, and continuing to use Consomee after that means you accept the update.
