How to make it

  1. Heat the oven to 180 C (350 F) and lightly grease a loaf tin or line a small baking tray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the water and soy sauce until smooth.
  3. Stir in the dry stuffing mix and chopped onion, then let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes so the crumbs soften and absorb the liquid.
  4. Add the ground beef along with a little salt and pepper, then mix gently with your hands just until everything is combined; avoid overworking so the loaf stays tender.
  5. Press the mixture into the loaf tin and smooth the top, or shape it into a free-form loaf on the tray.
