How to make it
- Wash and dry the lettuce thoroughly, then tear or chop it into bite-sized pieces and pile it into a large serving bowl.
- If the bacon is not already cooked, fry it until crisp, drain on paper towels until cool, then crumble or chop it into small pieces.
- Stack the deli turkey slices, roll them up and slice across into thin ribbons or cut into bite-sized strips.
- Halve the cherry tomatoes, then scatter the carrots, olives, tomatoes, turkey and most of the bacon and cheddar over the lettuce.
- Just before serving, drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently so everything is lightly and evenly coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, top with the reserved bacon and cheese, and serve right away while the bacon is still crisp.
